The bad news: Friday night on the way to my parents house to load up the car to go to the track, the main wiring harness under the intake manifold started on fire. Lucky for me a guy was driving by in a truck that had a fire extinguisher, so 1 foot of the main harness burnt up, melted the 2nd injector for the #4 cylinder, and fried a few things in the AEM EMS. I am in the process of tracing what happened and fixing everything. The AEM will be the hard part, either send it back to AEM for repair or I know a few people that work with that stuff all day long.
The good news: The car has plenty of traction with the drag radials, the tranny shifts at 9500rpm with no effort, the car has no noticable lag between gears if I do not hit the rev limiter, even then I just need to play with the settings so it comes clean off the revlimiter. And to quote the passanger, Kyle "you will have no issue with your cousins CBR 1000rr, that with a good rider can run a 9.5@150". The car gets up on power nice and smooth and just goes, if I see the big tach get much past 8k its on the rev limiter (9500). I had the car up to the top of 4th gear a few times and by the math that is 159mph.
So I will get the wiring fixed, fix the ECU and try for the track a few times this year. Then for next year I will have all 8 injectors working and more fuel pump, plus E98, then turn up the power. I will have a few different boost levels so I can up the boost as needed at the track.
