Its a great picture alright. I have noticed, the less parts these cars have on them, the better they look /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

thats right, only usdm vr4 got badged(i want 315/1000 to match my plates if ever i can get it)
mine is a jdm import converted to left hand drive.

movement is slow.
checked my rear diffs today apparently i dont have a diff(which has no marking or stickers) to match my evo 3 tranny and tcase(w5m33-2upwe).
i counted the ring gears and both have 43 teeth and the pinion gear is 13 teeth which means it 3.307
the 3000gt/gto lsd rear diff i have has 43/12 which is 3.5 as it says on the sticker.
have to find a rear diff to match my tranny.

3000gt/gto spindles are in the machine shop getting shaved.
rear subframe is getting new bushings fabbed
trying to decide on a color for the calipers(leaning on black)
sorting parts so i dont install crappy ones
cleaned up all nuts and bolts, screws and the like.

and now its raining again.

a little update

its clear now that i have 1g 3000gt/gto front brakes 295mm

bearing and hub is together(machined with new bearing)
not too happy with it as the bearing i got is shorter, have to get the right one
8g vr4 hub is poking out of the bearing.
(any other suggestions are welcome)

here it is on the 3000gt/gto spindle/knuckle

here it is on the e39 strut(force fit, whacked it a little)

with rim(i need a pair of 10mm hubcentic rings/spacers and longer studs or spacers with studs)

partially assembled 3000gt/gto trailing arms
(will finish on the car)

3000gt/gto arms

will be assembling the rest of my coilovers and front crossmember this afternoon, its raining again.
no progress on the shell itself.i did spot a leak somewhere in the firewall area.

a little update
been sick the past few days and managed to install these all just yesterday
i now have some sort of an interior.
got the dash on,carpet and seatbelts on after the interior wiring went in

still have to arrange these once i get the engine bay harness on

i did run into a problem
i forgot where this part goes when i did the climate control conversion
not sure if it goes in before or after the evaporator or somewhere
anyone know or have a pic?

will be finishing up the interior soon then the underchassis parts get on after the under coating.

Thats the temp sensor for the heater matrix. Goes in the box in the middle. Look at my how to index post and the climate stuff under there. I'd like to see how you did the LHD climate conversion. do you have a heater matrix in there?

I know the rain thing. I'm here in Baguio. here for 3 years. I have a Lancer here, it's in Marikina. Flooded out from Ondoy. Engine is here in Baguio, about finished building it. Have to get it back down south. The weather is horrid at the mo. Hope your place in Bulucan is OK.

build is going great except for the slow movement.

hi rich!i basically mirror imaged everything that has to do with the climate control.didnt install the heater thingy though.i guess ill have to pull the dash again.give me a ring when you come down from baguio,im in teachers village about a km from quezon circle.hopefully
ill have the car on two wheels this week.have to go to cinco for some odds and ends also.

well im off to work, will be doing undercoating today.

ive really been thinking about doing a bunch of 3kgt parts in my ggsx im working on right right. i want to try to widen it without spacers.. be interesting. nice build

Undercoating failed.its my first time and it should have been sprayed not brushed on.
Very uneven finish.will have to delay.
3000gt front arms looks doable but are about a half inch too wide
I do like the rear bush for the arm,its beefy.
Was really hoping to get the car on the ground this week.
DD is down also, timing belt change.

nothing much in the past two weeks

interior is ok except for sbc wiring, ecu wiring and a/c evaporator.
still waiting on a friend to finish undercoating.
started installing engine bay parts

new bumper brackets

where i get reference and some parts

interior with temporary seats(missing trim pieces will hopefully be done in carbon fiber)

finished reassembly of my coil overs and painted my front brakelines too.
nothing much to do until the undercoating is done
oh and my intercooler is mounted already, had to drill the frame.(and thats a temporary hood too)

engine build will probably start mid november, nothing special.just a stock top and bottom with an evo 3 16g and 560cc.

finished undercoating,wheel offset fail.
have 17x7.5 offset 43 and 17x8.5 offset 40 atech final speed forged rims
the17x7.5+43 do not clear the gto brakes so i tested the 17x8.5+40 on the front and rear on the drivers side,
front maybe tolerable.
front 0 camber as per camber plate, gto spindle/knuckle with 8g vr4 hub and machined bearing housing.
(spindle/knuckle assy has almost same dimensions as the stock assy,so it doesnt make the wheel stick out more than it should)

the rear full negative camber with gto trailing arms and the 17x8.5+40(wider track as discussed in the austrailian thread)

also found out that the lower shock mount of the gto arms have a bigger diameter than the e39a so have to figure out that too.
im leaning towards having it pressed out and find a suitable replacement.

any thoughts on the offset dilema?really need ideas, dont want my galant to look like a tonka.
im going to have to sell these rims and look for a more decent fitting set as my old ssr integral a2s is offset 32 and doesnt clear the gto brakes either.
tracked down a set of jdm gto rims and the importer said it is offset 46,which makes me more confused.going to try and borrow one rim from him.
