To get rid of a specific RPM drone, you're better off adding a Helmholtz resonator than a straight resonator

I am aware of the Helmholtz resonator. The issue would be cost of a stainless steel custom piece. I'd be worried about weld stress over time without an exhaust mount holding up the other end over time. The issue I have is the hood resonates at around 2200 RPMS, but I can hear the exhaust resonate slightly above that and then go away. So it isn't exactly just one frequency. It's my understanding that a pass through resonator should take care of the same issue. Thank you for the response. I'm sure it would work, it would just make the cost way more complicated. If I just had a steel exhaust, then it might be a different story.

I did hear back from my mechanic and he had hurt his back. I'll probably just wait a little and let him do the work. He won't charge $150 an hour.

How are your hood hinges? Mostly the pivot pin...They can get sloppy over time and wondering if it's amplifying the resonance in that area.
