Ah, at long last, some updates. Looking good! I'm liking that bumper even more now with paint and fitting. Nice bumper supports there.

Got any undercarriage pics of the viper? That generation had some cool aero IIRC.

Aero. Ha, yeah it's got that. It works great for catching sockets, bolts and other assorted parts that you drop. Requiring an extra 20 mins to jack up the car and remove it all to retrieve your stuff. I guess it's worth having when you're doing 170 though. Not that I've ever done that or anything.. . I can grab some pics of the underside when I change the oil.

Okay so I got the Viper and kinda forgot about this for a while. Worked on the viper non stop since I got it. I re lipped, barreled a set of ccw classics and put a juicy drag radial on it. Got stupid,

So now, were up to date on that. I was going to supercharge it this winter, but then.. shootout..
I think the Viper is now "done", just gonna be a fun street car.

I started working on the galant again. I'd like to race it at the 2019 Shootout.
I've accepted that it wont be completely painted, and as done as I'd like, but I have to start moving on it.

modified a 5.0L Mustang TB to work on the 4.6L flanged Forrester manifold. Trimmed up, etc. Plumbing/fuel system is first on the list so here we go!

Thanks^

intake

On another note, has anyone built anything to eliminate the thermostat housing/water neck, without going electric wp? That will be my next project, looking for idears.

How did you get that FRH intake to seal properly? I got the same one and made a gasket using the original as a stencil and it leaks like crazy all around and through the bolts. Any ideas are appreciated. Thanks.

Alot of newer hybrids use electric wp and there may be a model which you might be able to use the thermostat housing from. Just a thought.

Awesome cars btw.

I'm not sure if it's sealed or not to be honest. I can't remember for sure, but I think mine is "updated". I really think that someone had China knockoff the original Forrester, but either way my lower section is cut for an O ring, it does not use a gasket. Maybe that's how they all are?? It's been nearly 10 years since I did any homework.

I don't think a car with an electric water pump would use a thermostat? The pcm would control the pump speed as needed?? I don't have any first hand experience with OEM so I'm jus' thinking out loud.

Are you still using that charge pipe that you integrated into the frame rail? I always really liked that.
VC and plumbing looks great.

I just didn't want an oil cap haha. The vent fittings have a hole in it large enough to put a funnel in anyway.

I'm still using the charge piping setup. Probably will for a long time unless I find the limits of that intercooler.

got some stainless to replace pretty much everything under the hood.
