Preventative maintenance tips, about to DD 1501

For t-belt tensioner and pullies, water pump and oil pump, oem only.

All of that stuff was installed by the previous owners. T-belt kit was done two owners ago, and all I know is that it has a Gates belt. My friend put a new water pump on, but I do suspect he went the cheap route. He is the kind of person who tells you to do things right, but is too cheap to do it himself.

There's nothing wrong with an other than OEM water pump. I've run various brands on different cars and never had a problem.
