So a little update...

The 47uf cap was in backwards. Terry is going to replace the caps and go from there to see what happens.

Replaced the caps. Ran the board in my car and it seems to be just fine. I can't take it for a test drive because the car is not road worthy.

I did rev it to 5000 and the check engine light never came on.

I will meter the knock output but everything looks good right now in my car with my Keydiver chip. (shameless Keydiver - DSMchips.com plug /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif)

So, is it common that the Cap gets installed backwards???

No. Usually when an electrolitic cap is installed backwards it blows up. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif

Ok so still have the same issue. 5.83v at the pin on the ECU.

I have a headache! I dont know what it up with this thing. I am going to install this ECU into another car and see if the code comes up and if it does, it would clearly mean an ECU issue! I thought I had this fixed but I guess not.

Tested in another persons car and still get the same output voltage on pin #9, 5.83v

The knock board has to be bad...
