Hello,
yes at the moment it is very cold -28 ° C in Germany. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif" alt="" />
The most cars (diesel) can not drive anymore. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
The Galant also runs at -33 ° C. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rofl.gif" alt="" />

Hi all,
have my "Hungary holiday" used; go to my Red-Lady from the bottom of the rust. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
I have the underbody, the rear axle, the tank, the wheel wells, the shocks, all lines on the lower floor (steering, brake, fuel), the propeller shaft, the rear differential, let sandblasting. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/jawdrop.gif

Then had my car 5 small rust holes ("underbody right-front", "underfloor left-behind", "wheel-right-back," "floor plate-trunk", "tail plate-trunk"). /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif
Then my friend (coachbuilder) removed the rust and welded in new plates. All seam seals renewed, all bare attachment parts with "flat-black-paint" finish. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rofl.gif

All cavities (sill frame) treated with wax.
The subfloor with "rubber Stoneguard" treated, and then the subfloor with "bitumen underseal" painted.

I think this will keep the next few years before new rust comes.
Greetings from Germany

I have long searched until I found the Recaro seats; /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
they both have full equipment, heating ventilation, massage and electro. Adjustment. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif
In southern Germany they use in the winter not only salt but lye, rock salt and casting slag. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bawling.gif
Wherefore the prevention so that the car does not rust. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rofl.gif
12kg bitumen underbody coating and cavity wax 20kg.

Its the same here, thats why I run the Dynamic4 in the winter and the VR4 in the summer. I cant get myself to run a rustfree california car in all that salt.

Nice GTI btw. a mirror image of mine. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
