Worst case scenario you could have some of these threaded sleeves made for the bottom of the shock, and have them tapped for a standard of the shelf size/ thread for a new rod end. The evo shocks are beefier than the e39a.

So after doing a little more research, the correct rod end needed is a m22 x 1.5. I have some feelers out to a few companies to try and find these but it may be a challenge. May have to be ordered from fluro in germany. >> click

Found the one needed from fluro. The bearing is pre-loaded for motorsports use. Part # GAXSW22MS. It's not cheap, but the german made quality i'm sure is second to none.
