every tool dropping/beer drinking galant owner needs this

NICE!! Snap on makes magnificent tools. Too bad it's a BIT too big for the average garage.....

I might actually consider making a few of these now. I might make a few total length with the 1/4" offset and few that only covers the area between the lights over the grille.
I'll probably send them out without the finish that mine has, that way if you want to polish it to a mirror or give it a dual-action sanded look to it like I did, then you may at your leisure.
Im surprised that you all just don't make your own, the reason I gave mine a DA finish was to get rid of the marks left behind by the jigsaw. it thing was really easy to make, all you need is a jigsaw, tape measure, small ruler, and something straight and long like a carpenters level. Measure it out, draw it down on paper and make up a cardboard template, then use the template to make fine adjustments to you measurements. When you can install the cardboard template and have the ability to close the hood w/o any issue, then you're ready to use the template to make the cuts in the aluminum plate.

Can you make it in CF? Lurlurlur

CF + GVR4 = FAIL. Everyone should know that by now, mods for sure. Ban for the next one who suggests to make something in CF.... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rofl.gif

I disagree.

GVR4 + one-off CF bits = /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/applause.gif

Doing one of these in CF would be really easy.

Im not a big fan of CF, I'd rather cut holes in titanium. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rofl.gif

I swear everytime I look at that cup holder it makes me want to work on my car...

What did you use to make the creases?

I used a metal-brake here at work. If it's made full length, you have to put the offest in it or the hood wont latch closed
