I recently learned of the secret society of VR4 owners, so I decided to google it and now I'm the latest member. I have a 1991 Galant VR4 (398/2000), so add it to your database of surviving VR4s. 210,000 miles and still runs like a top. I only put about 5,000 miles per year on it during the winter months in Colorado; otherwise, garaged. It's up on jacks right now, as I am replacing a lower ball joint. Having issues torqueing the ball joint stud nut to 46 ft. lbs., as the new ball joint turns inside its assembly. Also trying to figure out how to fit the new dust cover over the ball joint. If I were to clamp on to the stud with vicegrips, I would most likely ruin the dust cover. Any suggestions?
