Umm, if you can see the gears, you took the wrong bolts out. You should only have to remove the exhaust (enough to get it out of the way) remove 5 long bolts holding the x-fer case to the tranny, and then gently pry it off with pry bars. You'll have to support the driveshaft too.,

17mm bolts. Some are shorter than others, just don't loose em' and put fluid back in it AFTER you re-install it. If needed.

Leave the drain plug in.

Why are you looking for GEARS? Are you trying to open it up or just remove?

If remove do what they said ^^^^ 5 bolts a ratchet and an extension will be your best friends here.... pry with a small flat screwdriver and viola... there it is.... support the driveshaft, you don't want drivshaft woes when your said and done with it.

Replace and fill, make sure the tailprop has nothing foreign inside before you install... also check the bushing/bearing inside the tail prop for any defects that could lead to a leak.

thank you guys for all your help now we will see what option I go with as money will also be tight with xmas and such only around 2k and here in arizona thats not alot. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif
