Thermal vacuum valve?

Hey guys, just bought a 92 and been trying to get things squared up inside the engine bay. I came upon a thermal vacuum valve just dangling around and cant seem to find place that it goes to. Searching around the net and I can only see it on the tstat area but theres no missing slot on mine. Anyone know where it goes? Thanks

It is for the egr emission systems it takes temp at the coolant neck and most people delete it when they block the egr valve off.

I got a feeling that neck has been replaced cause there is no spot for it. Make sense why it wasn't connected. thanks for the reply

With that part being out, can it cause random misfire at idle?
