Hi guys,

I'll be running a billet Holset HX40 with the .70ar vband BEP housing. I was wonder if anyone have ran this turbo with a T3 manifold in the galant vr4. If so, what manifold was it? How much clearance did you have?

I understand it will require some grinding of the front motor mount.

Anyone in PA area want to let Redjack racing test fit their manifold on a galant VR4? They're having a group buy and the manifold seems to be pretty legit. click see post #61

I can show you clearance for the JMF bottom mount t3 TS manifold if you would like. But I am not running my radiator in the stock location.

Please show me pics. I'm not worried about moving the radiator, the guy who is going to be doing it does amazing stuff on his galant at JSR.inc

How much is the manifold?

is it divided? If so I am in the same boat, got a screaming deal on a wh1c with a 12cm housing and now im thinking about running it... but its divided

People run these manifolds on hx35 and have no clearance issue on dsms. They say it puts the turbo about 1/2 inch away from the water pipe with no denting. As for the galant fitment idk, and not sure how much bigger a hx40 is compared to the hx35, but its a nice price.

Sorry I forgot to get a picture. Here is one that I had taken just as a progress picture. I will try to get a better one to show how much room is there. With this manifold you can't keep the full radiator in its stock location. You have to point the turbo downwards and there would be no room for intercooler piping+stock radiator.

Will do. I did a lot more work than just a turbo swap, so its taking me a bit, but I'm almost done. Hopefully everything works out.

If you run solid front and rear mounts you can run this header with out moving the radiator its just very tight and fan need to go in front of radiator. I agree tho that moving the rad makes this a nicer setup
