Roof Moldings? What can I use to Replace With

I am restoring #942/2000 and the roof moldings are horrendous. Cracking, rust underneath, one side broke off near the front end cap just by touching it.

Has anyone used an aftermarket option? I found a Mitsubishi store in CA that supposedly has OEM drip moldings but they’re $100 each and I’m not sure if they actually have them in inventory.

Just trying to see if anyone has other options that have worked for them

I just removed mine and pulled the plastic clips out of the channel, gonna leave it like that. I'm not aware of any channel strip or trim that would work with the metal tabs sticking up in the way. If you cut those off, you could probably find some trim-to-fit overlap weatherstripping that would work.

They are not specific to VR4s, so you may be able to source these from any 6th gen in a junkyard somewhere.

One thing I will say is don't leave the clips in the channel exposed to the sun without the molding covering them. They will become brittle extremely quickly and disintegrate when exposed to UV.

From a regular 6G they will be black not painted in color match, but that is correctable.
