Rear Trunk Emblems...which were factory anywhere in the world?

On the passenger side of my trunk the "GALANT" and "16 valve" emblems have chrome that is peeling away. The "VR-4" emblem is just fine. Looks like this is a common problem. Is there anything else that is factory badging instead? Not really feeling sending it off to get it re-chromed.

I have seen a member use the below badge before (and have seen it on another GVR4 before but I am not sure if that is factory) and I have also seen the badges shaved before, but that is not my style. If anything, I think a 16v Intercooled AWD Turbo door type sticker would look just right there.

Please don't pm me to sell me one, looking for answers.

The actual 'GALANT' badge is the same for all markets with the 6G Galant, the US just has the extra 'DOHC 16 VALVE' badge underneath. Same with the VR-4 badge. Most markets will have the 'MITSUBISHI' badge on the left however JDM models will have 'MMC' instead.

Thanks...makes my decision alot easier then. No matter what I decide to do, it won't be authentic....which is just fine with me at this point.

I painted the Galant Emblem and the dohc 16V stickers with Krylon Mirror Finish as a quick test...(my paint came off with the emblems so I was fuming mad).

I love the way it looks even with the valleys not being black. I am a happy camper...just happened to have some paint laying around.
