radio problem...

well i had my vr4 for a while now and i install a radio a while ago.... about a couple of days ago the radio fuse in the fuse box inside the car keeps blowing.... i check all my connection on the radio and the harness and it seems to be fine.... and oh yea the cigarette lighter dont work either and when i check the fuse it wasnt blown.... any of you guys have an idea on wat could be wrong? i also did a test on where i didnt turn the radio on and still blows the fuse on me...

Sounds like a "chaffed" wire.

Did you buy a aftermarket wiring harness or did you cut and splice all the wiring? Inspect all joints for frayed wires or scrapped insulation.

Look at your cig lighter and see if the wire can unplugged and is intermittently shorting out on a chassis part.

i bought a wiring harness and i also checked then cig. lighter and none of the wires there are unplug....
