Has anyone set up ducts from the fog light holes or fins on the control arms maybe?

I'd like to see pictures.

I did that back in the day on my accord that had high heat cycling on mountain runs. It did help. I just cut some old license plates up and mounted to the control arms. Also had the backing plates cut/bent to allow more air to the rotor. Too long ago to have had pics(pre-camera phone days).

there are a couple companies that make something like this:

wouldn't be hard to rig something up for the e39a. You would need to be doing some serious track events to need them though, unless you have stock brakes. In which you should upgrade before trying to feed air.

I had a Baer kit on 981/2000, I ran it in the mountains in Colorado frequently and never burned the brakes up.

I was considering the size foglight I was going to get and wether or not that orifice had other uses.

You can still have foglights and use the remainder of the hole as ducting too, ALA 1g DSM foglight as an example.

Or get a JDM bumper get projector fogs and use the other holes BELOW the fogs for ducting. I've thought about doing this on my car for a long time. I figured I'd buy the tubing and one of those rotor diverter plates and then bond a corresponding sized connecting pipe/channel to the rear of the bumper behind those holes using JB weld or fiberglass.
