Oil cooler gasket or O ring

I'm putting my engine back together and I forgot if the oil cooler needs to have a gasket or O ring to bolt on to the block I have a water oil cooler can anyone help me please?

It uses a paper gasket. But there is also a large rubber o-ring/seal within the cooler itself.
