oem oilpan for gvr4?

I'm sorry to ask this. But this is a debate from some friends. I just bought my first vr4 as well as the only one I've ever seen. So after going over the car I'm finding more and more stuff this car has. I.e. goodies. Anyhow my car has a pretty badass aluminum oil pan. It hugs the car perfectly. Now idk if mitsu made them stock to fit the 4g63 into the galant chassis. Or if it is infact aftermarket. So can someone please tell me if they come factory with a steel oil pan or i s the aluminum pan oem for the vr4? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/banghead.gif

Ok bthanks guys. Maybe now I should drop the pan and see if the bottom ends not stock too =)

Aftermarket rods should be fairly obvious. No idea if he could actually see enough of the pistons to judge whether or not they are aftermarket or not.

You should be able to tell if the pistons are cast or forged fairly easily actually. Stock pistons and aftermarket pistons look nothing alike aside from general shape.

well ill be able to tell with the rods. wiht the pistons im just gonna do magnet. the oem ones are cast. forged ones are generally aluminum. if the magnet doesnt stick, then ill know they are forged. or i could just pull the head..
