Nexen tires...junk?

i use them to get around they last a good long time and are okay grippy and by ok i mean suck but for dd all round good imo

I ran them on my VR4 a few years ago. Plenty grippy for the sort of power I was pushing but their sidewalls are pretty soft. If you're going to abuse them they look flat before long, even when they have plenty of pressure.

I'm running the lin longs on the 1g wich is your basic bolt on big16g dsm and I can break em loose while turning out of a parking lot. In my opinnion they suck for "performance driving" but are ok for everyday driving. We sell Nexen at the shop I work at and their "OK". I've installed them in alot of regular passenger cars and they do allright, I haven't gotten to test them to their audible limit though. If you don't have the money to buy a kumho/falken,then I guess you'll have to settle for them.If you have the money for better tires, better yet good tires like nittos or BF goodrich, the get the better tires.

As said above, they last long(hard compound), thus they dont grip well. If you just need a dd tire they will be good, but save for a better tire when your playing with your car.

What are you some kind of tire expert?! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Just because they don't necessarily break loose under power, does not mean they are any good when hot and cornering. I'd hate to have those tires at a road course.

I'm always skeptical with 'no names' on tires, especially if they're from China. Some of the once-no names turned out to be decent (e.g. Nitto), but when it comes to the only thing keeping me from the road (first contact), I'd rather pay a little more. I'm sure they'd get you by, but kick down a few extra bucks and be sure.

I don't know if this was to me but if it was I am no tire expert but I Do drive ALOT of diferent cars and I test drive all the cars after they've been worked on before they go to the respective owners hands. So no,I'm not a tire expert,I'm a drivability expert. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Never rolled a sidewall and I always had 1 of the fastest 3 TOD's

so basically....yeah, they're fine
