Ok so I just bought a 99 galant de, I was thinking of going vr4 with it not really sure what to do tho any ideas

Welcome, but we mostly deal with the 88-92 Galant VR4s not the later models VR4s you're thinking of, better off hitting up this place click for your questions

 

do u know if a 1g and a vr4 control arm are the same

The rears are identical, if you're referring to the fronts, the only difference I believe is a +-1 degrees in camber.
