Been shopping for a while and picked up 912 in LA 2 days ago. Made the journey home like a champ, but it smokes a bit under full boost. I assume it's just the turbo seals on a tired 14b, so I'm picking up a 16G shortly to swap out.

I'll be shopping for parts for a bit, planning on going from all stock to:
2G MAS(?)
560cc injectors
DSMLink(?)
16G
Front mount (Evo, ETS, something)
Evo IX SSL front seats

I'll also be posting some parts and WTB as soon as I get it sorted out.

My 4G63 list so far:
91 Eagle Talon TSi AWD - stock, minor mods - sold
90 Eagle Talon Tsi AWD - 16G, full bolt-ons, full suspension - sold
98 Eagle Talon TSi AWD - stock, minor mods - sold
05 Evolution VIII EB SSL - E85, exhaust, 340whp - wrecked
06 Evolution IX GG SSL - E85, exhaust, intake, 370whp - sold for scrap
1992 Galant VR4 912/1000 Kensington Gray - not stock for long... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Congrats on the buy man. Car looks really clean.

Where are the pics?

OP, congrats on the new car. I have a 2g MAS, EVO injectors, and a intercooler all listed in my ebay store. PM me if your interested, I should be able to hook you up. No ebay fees, and of course the Galant VR4 owner discount. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I'll get pictures up soon, my wife took it out shopping. I have a ton of leftover DSM and Evo parts, so that's where I'm going to start. I already have 2 sets of 560cc injectors, a couple intake pipes, some exhaust components, and tons of other stuff I want to sort though.

Going to check shaft play on the 14b today and prep my E30 for sale. Have a lead on a local MHI 16G and I'm researching all the options for AF management/logging (DSMLink, EPROM, Evo8 ECU, pocketlogger etc).

Also need to figure out why the reverse lights don't come on and a couple cosmetic things I'd like to touch-up.

Yay for pictures. Thanks for the link. OP, car looks really nice. Kensington Grey is a color that has really grown on me over the years.

Turbo took a dump on my way home from work Wednesday, but I picked up a 16G last Tuesday.

My GVR4 got it's first tow (in my ownership). 16G going in this weekend, with a MBC.

The seat brackets are from the first group buy, I got them from a member parting out. I do like how it lowered the seating position and puts me right where I want to be.

Some other things I've done lately on it:
replaced the blown 14b with a small 16g
fixed the reverse lights, replaced the switch
Boost leak test
cleaned up some lines under the hood
installed the MBC and set boost at 10PSI
replaced the spark plugs and wires
fixed a few leaks

Next up:
Cleaning up more boost lines/excess crap
replacing a few axles that have torn CV boots
1G DSM short shift kit
getting my pocketlogger to work, either the cable or my palm is bad

Still DD'n it and taking it for long trips. Keep fixing little things along the way, most recently resealed the center tail light and found them both disconnected but functioned fine when plugged in.

Have a couple things high on my list:
T-Belt job
Transmission swap (+ SS clutch lines)
Clutch replacement (while swapping)
4 axle replacement (2 CVs are leaking, got replacements for all 4)
Boost leak test -> FMIC piping replacing
Clutch pedal assembly
Shift boot (has a short shift kit now, original boot binds)
Fix my pocket logger - not getting signal from ECU

Swap in my 2G MAS, 560cc injectors, Evo FMIC and find a turbo back exhaust... long ways away.

Finally getting my garage squared away, then I can start some serious work on her. Still boosting 12psi on the S16G with stock intake/exhaust.

Picked up something else for the car last weekend. Full 3" turbo back, supposedly custom made by FFTEC for a Galant VR4. Will be test fitting it soon! Still have some more issues I want to work out... but I got such a great deal on it.

After much delay (from lack of time mostly), I finally got my car back on the road after 8 weeks. Took 4 weeks to get the transmission rebuild (thanks FFTEC!) and 4 weeks for me to find enough time to put her back together.

Let me take a step back... first my slave cylinder gave up the ghost on my way home from work:

A quick trip to Autozone and some time in the driveway, back on the road with a new clutch slave and SS clutch line. Shortly after, I got clutch slippage over 5psi... so I planned out a build:
- ACT2100 HDSS
- rebuild transmission
- swap out front axles

I went another 5,000 miles on my slipping clutch... when some vibration started happening. So I did what any sane person would do and took it on a long trip to my parents property. In spite of everything, the Galant loved the dirt roads:

Another 3,000 miles later I put the car down for a rebuild. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

After pulling the transmission and turning my face black, I discovered this:

I think the friction surface is supposed to cover the entire thing... and the pressure plate looked pretty rough:

When removing the axles, I had a tool failure:

Yes, that's a 1/2 drive. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/banghead.gif

But she'll all back together and purring again.

Next up is a timing belt job, clutch pedal assembly rebuild, TB seals, exhaust manifold studs, and finding a nice and cheap high flow CAT.
