I was driving recently when my heater core went out and just started blowing cold air, can someone direct me on to where to buy another heatercore for my car, i cant seem to have any luck, and i tried callin a mitsubishi dealership and they couldn’t find my vin number cause its not 17 digits

Is it leaking fluid inside the car? If not, do a YouTube search for backwashing a heater core. It might just be blocked. They don't seem to be prone to leaking, but after all these years, anything is possible.

Back flush it with a garden hose. As mentioned above, if there are no leaks in the cabin, it's good and can be easily fixed.

Being its a jdm 8g GVR4, they don't use VINs in Japan. What you think is a VIN, is just the chassis code and serial number. It also wouldn't matter calling up a North American Dealer either, the 8th gen VR4 was never included in their parts catalog.

You would have to see if any regular 8th gen galant heater cores would interchange with the VR4.

You haven't given us the year or production date on your specific car, so I'm guessing by the picture it's a later version 8th Gen GVR4. If that's correct, the heater core for your specific car would be an MR167230 if it needs to be replaced. Unfortunately, this part seems to be discontinued by Mitsubishi.
