1990ggsxnj pointed out that this site is linked in this How-To: click

but the site gives 'Not Authorized' responses for any request I try. Anyone know of an alternative?

Yes, countdeploygonze is the only eBay vendor I have saved. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif Nice cables that I point people to all the time.

you can make your own cable for about 2 dollars and 10 minutes of time.. i dont know why anyone with a 1g ecu would buy one /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

There's so much damn confusion with making one. Everything I read has been slightly different or the pictures are down or something like that.

You don't like having the proper ALDL connector to plug into the diagnostic port?
You don't like the auto-on feature that keeps it from putting your ABS into diagnostic mode?
You don't like one with the proper RS-232 conversion chips in it to make it compatable with just about any Palm or laptop? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

After investigating making my own, I have bought two from him. They are nice, work and I don't have to spend my time making one. Or drive anywhere for parts.

The 1st & 3rd points aside...

I thought turning off the ABS on the 92 cars was a feature, not a downside? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/hsugh.gif

I think a lot of us just like making our own stuff. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

I still have a few of the aldl harness connectors, and I'd be happy to send them out to anyone who wants to build their own cables. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I used to have like 20 ALDL connectors. Every time i went to the junkyard i'd pull a plug out from under the dash of every early 90's mitsu i found. I also never had a problem with my abs while using a cable i'd made. Hell, i used to give them away all the time. Some of my friends with 1g DSMs did, but they didnt seem to mind, as all but one of them had deleted abs anyhow. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
