DSM 6 bolt or 7 bolt block ID question...

I picked up a 97 Eclipse GSX for 500. The engine is in pieces (head removed) timing belt broke. I took off the timing covers, and find there's no crank sensor. The car has a 2G intake and head, but had a "black cap" cam sensor installed, and the wiring for the black cap sensor has been extended (another clue it's a 6 bolt).

So, it sure seems to me that this car has a 6 bolt block. But, are there any other easy ways to ID the block is 6 or 7 bolt without pulling the tranny to inspect? Are there differences in the oil passages between the head and block, or any other ways to tell?

Thanks! The pan looks like a 7 bolt. Looked at my Galant, and they're not the same... Bummer... Time to locate a Hyundai 2.4 I guess?
