Difference in part numbers for jdm vs usdm vr4

So it's been 6 days since owning my galant and it's time to order some parts for basic maintenance. Going to be going mostly OEM components unless if there's a better upgraded part (ie; cranky pulley - fluidampr). The sticky in the "how to" section has been really helpful as well as a thread on dsmtuners (http://www.dsmtuners.com/threads/dsm-maintenance-guide.476550/)

Just curious to see if there's a difference between usdm part numbers to a jdm vr4, I'm sure it'll mostly all be the same since it's a 6 bolt but with a cyclone intake manifold. When I was searching for a ngk wires part number I stumbled across a thread where the OP was asking what wires to use since he was using a cyclone manifold /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif Kind of threw me off since I figured it was all the same. So better safe than sorry I feel like asking before I go ahead and order all these parts.

"Most" mechanical parts will be the same, but there are differences. Plug wires for a Cyclone are different length because of where the coil mounts. I believe some parts of the ac sytstem (compressor and bracket?) are different also because of the Cyclone shape and location.

The NGK spark plug wires are part no. ME64. I think I paid about $42.00 off of Ebay but most dsm vendors will carry them.

They should fit, IIRC the NGK wires are longer than stock anyway (for more vehicle/model coverage), so I think they do reach.

Forgot about that thread, I have my coil pack mounted on the left strut tower. Leave it to curtis to engineer something for that.

So just got off the phone with Magnecor and got a part number for wires specific for 4g63 with cyclone intake...very much on the expensive side (they quoted me $146.30+$10 shipping but found it online for $82.46 shipped) so I just may run these since it even list it for an 89-94 jdm Mitsubishi Lancer/colt/mirage/galant with 4g63 Dohc; with cyclone intake manifold. Shouldn't be too much of a difference between an 88/89 vr4 mechanics wise (only difference I found was the HP increase and different ecu part number in the 89)

Buy standard NGK 4g6X wires for any USDM/CDN model car.

I used the stock wires and it was pretty painless.

You will notice I swapped in the Cyclone dual runner intake manifold.

I did a write up of the process because I can't wrap my head around these things sometimes and need a reference to go back to.
