CAS Install?

Can anyone direct me to a good site that explains hw to Install Cam Angle Sensor?

It should only be able to go one one way I belive. Are you having trouble with it?

The service manual says to make sure your car is at TDC. And that the tab on the end of the CAS lines up with a mark on the inside of it.

Just pull the old out one and pretty much just slide the new one in. it only goes in one way so you can't really install it wrong. Once u get it installed, set your ignition timing and your done.

I did mine recently...there's no trick to it. Just unbolt the old one and slide the new one in. Only takes like 5 mins.

 

I do believe that you need to draw a line to mark where it was though. Anyone please correct me if I'm wroing as I don't have hands on experience with the CAS.

 

If theres no mark I would just start with the CAS centered, warm the car up, ground the pins and then time it.

That for uninstalling and reinstalling same one so that you don't have to reset timing. If your replacing, it doesn't do you any good.

You have a 50/50 chance of getting it right. If the car doesn't start, pull it out, turn the knob 180 deg, reinstall.

so i got my CAS in today i installed it, still didnt want to start, im gunna go do a 180 turn on it and see if that does anything.

 

SOo as i put the CAS to Advanced the car sounds like it wants to fire up but still nothing, then when i got to retarded it definitly dosent want to start, any suggestins???

Now you know if it's right or not and can troubleshoot elsewhere if the problem still exists.

 

OK so i installed the CAS in yesterday, first time didnt start so i did the 180 flip and she fired right up, shes driving like a champ now, thanks again to everyone here, helped me out alot.
