Can I use this gasket...

UPS bent the sh*t out of my brand new gasket. Would it still be OK to use?

I would use it unless it is creased. The two cast pieces are so big and heavy, it should be fine.

Wouldn't be happy about it, but yeah, ditto what Terry said.

It'll straighten right out by just tightening the bolts.

I would try and gently bend it as straight as you can get by hand then run it.

And that is just one of the reasons I will never, ever ship ANYTHING with UPS.

unfortunatly most of our stuff that gets shipped through USPS in Danville,Pa usually gets damaged one way or another. I have never had any problems with UPS.

I don't have that problem with UPS (shipped a $5,000 dogbox with them last year), but then again, I take the time to pack things properly. Was it a dsm shop that shipped it? they should know better.
