It is for the transfer case, not the transmission.

Check vfaq.com

he said leaking on the driveshaft, its the seal where the DS goes into the T-case correct?

imma replace the transfer case main seal that should do the trick... has anyone else fixed this problem?

so having a bad yolk isnt the reason its leaking tranny fluid?

Wow OK this thread needs some clarification. Your transfer case is NOT your transmission so it can't be leaking "tranny fluid."

Your transfer case flairs out on the end the drive shaft goes in to, is it leaking there? If so its probably your transfer case tail seal.

If its leaking on the backside of the yoke, that's the recall that all of our cars should have had at one point or another.

Where I'm pointing is where the yoke leaks. This yoke on the right hand side is what the recall kit consists of, but its missing the u-joint or whatever its called.

Also make the dealer pull the VIN up on the system and see if the recall has been done ....Its a safety thing and the dealer has to do it there is no time limit if its never been done congrats, Our dealer tried to side step it but I printed off all the stuff I could find on the internet slammed it down on the service managers desk and said call me when my parts come in and I'll bring the car down. They replaced the yoke as well as the transfer case. I think the grand total was like 900 or so.
