I've read a bunch of older threads about this subject, most with broken links to jnztuning.com . I hope to update some info and prices, and see if there is currently a better way. Prices are from ExtremePSI, seem to be mostly fair for OEM, and I can get everything from one place.

My shopping list includes:
3 U joints 100/per
2 carrier bearings 103/per
2 single use nuts 2/per
1 lobro boot kit 100

That's a round figure of 610. And I have to do the work myself.

Now I know the yoke recall kits are 52/per. If I press out the U joints, will the caps be okay to reuse? I know OEM units are a must.
Carrier bearings. I actually just found carrier bearings for a Dodge Colt from Hendrick Dodge pn MB505495 for 71/per, I feel better about this than 50 dollar Febest.

So I'm down to about 400 bucks.

Does this sound reasonable, or am I off track somewhere?

At least from my phone, jnz's website isn't working right now. The joints are fine to reuse as long as you don't go bashing the crap out of them or lose any of the roller bearings inside the cap.

Send jnz an email or call them (they MIGHT pick up).

Just something to consider is the Driveshaft Shop offers a 2 piece aluminum unit for $849.00 I've included a link below:

Driveshaft Shop

I have one in the box and I think Brett (GstPSI) has actually installed one and can offer some feedback. Be advised though, this Driveshaft is 3.5" and may interfere with an aftermarket exhaust.

I'll let you what JNZ says.

I've read a variety of different opinions about the DSS aluminum piece. For now, my plan is to stick with rebuilding the stock unit.

I spoke with JNZ. They were very helpful and took time to talk with me to make sure I got what I need. They are having issues with the website, and are working to sort it out.

Currently waiting on the quote, but JNZ seems to be on the ball.

I sent you the quote about 10 minutes after the phone, but haven't gotten a response.

If you're tied up, still deciding, etc., it's no rush, but with all of the other issues we've been having with the "interwebz" stuff, I just wanted to make sure that it got to you, as well as the diagram email I sent over.

Thanks for the kind words! It was good talking to you!
