92 tail light question

I swapped a set of 92's into my 91'. All my bulbs are brand new. What is supposed to be a parking light and what is supposed to light up brighter with the brakes? My trunklid tail lights only come on with the lights, but don't get brighter when the brakes are applied. The outter set of red lights only come on when the brakes are applied.

Yeah mine aren't lighting up like that. Maybe I dont have the correct bulbs in them. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif
