3 bolt / 4 bolt dust cover?

I am after the round metal dust cover / centering ring that goes in the end of the 4 bolt axle CV to align the axle up in rear hub. One of mine is missing due to the axle falling out and the cover flying out down the road somewhere .
Can anyone tell me if the ones out of the factory 3 bolt axle CV are the same or are the 4 bolt ones a bigger diameter? Just asking as it is obviously easier to find 3 bolt stuff rather than 4 bolt.

Thanks.

Or even if someone has some 3 bolt axles lying around if the could measure the outside diameter of the metal ring?

Try posting up on the "Want To Buy" section.

I tried to remove one for someone else a few years back and it would not come out. I ended up messing it up.

Good luck with the search.

Not the clip that holds the rubber boot on, the flat round plat that is pushed into the end of the axle in the above picture. It aligns the axle in the hub and also keeps out dirt and dust. Just wanting to know the diameter of the one in the 3 bolt axle to know if it is the same diameter as the 4 bolt. The OD of the one in my 4 bolt is about 70mm.

Thanks.

All sorted, thanks mitsuturbo and all you others for the info /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
