I couldn't find anything in the forums about this.

Does anyone know if a 7bolt dip stick tube and 7bolt oil dip stick will work in a 6bolt motor?

I have always liked the 2g dipstick with the o-rings a lot better than the 1g and i'd like to make the switch.

Same length. After breaking two we had to switch both cars over to spare 1G dipsticks laying around. Verified the length and marks were the same. I do everything I can to not run a 2g,evo dipstick. They just break too easy.

When you say "Break too easy" what exactly do you mean?

Do you mean the plastic handle gets brittle over time and breaks when you try to pull the dip stick out or something else?

He means exactly that. They look nicer but don't last as long. I run one though because I'm all set with burning myself trying to check the oil at a gas station.

EDIT: Oh and I'm not sure if the tube itself is the same but the dipstick is.

And from the last time I ordered a new dipstick for the 2g, the 1g dipstick is listed as the replacement.
