Much like any other modification you're going to do you won't fully utilize the 264 cams until you tune your car. Sure you will pick up some power, but if you tune your car then you will gain more.

thank you. i just wanted to make sure i can run them for alittle before i get tuned. i have several other things i want to do before i tune it.

If you want anything more than a general answer, you have to provide a little more background information. At this point, we don't know if your car is stockish with just a SAFC or a complete standalone ECU such as haltech with a built motor. It does change the answer a little bit. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I dropped in my exhaust cam without doing anything. It's worked for me so far. To maximize my setup, it would be smart to get cam gears so I could alter the cam timing. I should also buy an aftermarket tuning solution other than my chip to maximize gains.

With that said, it works fine and my butt dyno did notice a positive difference. It's not optimal but in the end it's not a racecar.

ok well currently i have an evo3 16g, fmic, 2g maf, keydiver chip, safc, 2.5" turbo back (going to upgrade to 3"), afpr, and im sure theres a few other things im forgetting.
