Delivered today from Oregon. Runs perfectly and is as nice as I expected. Needs a little tlc to make it just right. Front axle needs rebuilt. Needs a front drivers side floor mat. (holla if you have one) Popped of the spark plug cover to check for cracks in the vc, seems good. Just needed a new oil cap gasket. Popped off the tb cover and holy crap. A conti belt that's seconds from shredding! Not the po's fault but rather the shop that did the last tb job. Po was not an enthusiast to know any better to even check. Those 2 10mm oil pan bolts will get you every time. Going to have to do a tb job before I can drive it with any type of confidence. First mod = nardi.

I did the same damn thing with those bolts. Thought I had them in right spot, had to redo the belt.

Nice car, but the hood's not aligned properly. And could you snap some better pics of the underneath of the car. Something looks off with that thing. The fenders don't sit quite right! Are you sure it's actually a VR4 and not just a turbo'd GGSX?

Really, red tape on the wheel? Are you going to forget which way is straight while driving around town?

it wouldnt be so bad if the red tape was at least centered.

you didnt pop the timing cover off before buying that thing?? That easily wouldve knocked the price down.

Hood looks fine to me. Fenders I bought it with the red tape, took it off after I snapped the pics. No I did not inspect the car in person, just had it shipped.

Next time use the hard plastic grout spacers so the gap is correct on the floor.

And you might want to check the offset and camber settings on that front wheel. It does look very JDM herrafrush!!!

Getting old sucks ... but it sure beats the alternative !!!

I've looked on every junk yard car I've ever seen for all those plastic plug wire spacers/holders that go under the spark plug cover. I've never even seen a set in real life. Is there a mitsu part number for these so they can be purchased new? Slim chance I know, but thought I'd ask.

Curtis, yes if i was a tile setter! Cheeky that's why I bought it, hellafrush + bags next. Good call on the oil pan, I just looked through all the maintenance receipts it came with and looks like an independent shop r & r'd the oil pan because it was leaking. Lot's of funny invoices from Mitsubishi as well dating back to 92' & 93' while it was under warranty. Everything looks to be original and I was surprised the wire holders were there. Except the battery and timing belt.

Shift knob and steering wheel. That must be good for at least 15whp on that nearly broken timing belt

Ended up going with this discontinued hks unit. That tommy one was too much $ and that company really didn't do anything for mitsubishi's except the colt.
