Alright so, my VR-4 is decently modded and I just started it for the first time in about a month or so and after I turned it off and looked back in the engine bay, I noticed that oil had spit out like all over the left side of the engine bay, and I think it came out from the valve cover..... can anyone put in their input please.

Can you snap a pic so we can see where it sprayed and possibly where the leak is coming from?

Can't tell the source, but I'd think you could rev the engine with the hood open and find the source.

Looks like some oil is pooled up on the BOV that doesn't have the return hooked up. Looks over crushed too.

If I were to take a guess I'd say it's coming from that hole looking thing that has a pool of oil sitting in it right under the valve cover.

I didn't see it the first time. Looks like the half moon plastic piece is missing on the valve cover gasket from the picture.

It comes in all valve cover gasket kits.

Clean all the oil off of all the rubber hoses and lines ASAP. I see some decent things under the hood and some odd things. Looks like it has a catch can where the fuel filter was. What fuel filter does it have? It looks like it has upgraded fuel lines. Do you know what turbo and fuel pump is on it? Does it have a FPR? Injectors, tune? Aside from that massive oil leak, does it actually run right?

This is exactly the issue. Some of these other posts point out some possible issues like the overly crushed BOV and some vacuum line configurations. I would also check your PCV line to the catch can. I believe the PCV should run to the intake manifold (in stock configuration). I would clean that up and replace the 1/2 moon section asap and start correcting the other issues after that. Good luck.

Yea all these issues came with the car when I bought it, previous owner probably couldn't maintain something as simple as eating let alone maintain this car. I paid for what I got and she's a big project... but I am interested in selling it along the way.
